Easter Sunrise Gospel Reading: John 20:1-18

You know that moment in John 20 when Mary sees two angels in the tomb, one at the head and one at the feet where Jesus had been? That’s not random placement.

Think about it — it mirrors the Ark of the Covenant with angels positioned at each end.

Inside that Ark were three powerful symbols: Aaron’s budding staff, the Ten Commandments, and a jar of manna.

Each one whispers Jesus’ name.

➡️ Aaron’s staff? That’s about Jesus being your perfect High Priest.

But unlike the priests of old who offered animals, Jesus offered Himself — the flawless sacrifice. For you.

When your mistakes and failures feel overwhelming, remember this truth.

➡️ The Ten Commandments? While you struggle daily with God’s law, Jesus lived it perfectly.

Every morning He woke up and fulfilled what you couldn’t. His perfect life became your perfect sacrifice.

And when He cried “It is finished” from the cross, He meant it.

Whatever sins haunt you today — they’re paid in full. Completely. Done.

➡️ That jar of manna? It points to Jesus as the Bread of Life who gives Himself to you in communion.

“Take, eat,” He says, offering not just forgiveness but His very self.

The beauty of Easter isn’t just an empty tomb — it’s that everything pointing to Jesus in the Old Testament finds its fulfillment in Him.

✔️His sacrifice is perfect.
✔️His grace is complete.
✔️His love endures forever.

And it’s all for you.
