Question: How do you know you’re a Christian?
Short answer: a Christian is one who has faith and trust in his or her salvation through baptism and Christ’s crucifixion on the cross.
But is there something you have to do to prove that you’re a good person in order to be a Christian?
No, you don’t have to prove yourself worthy before God to be a Christian because there’s no way to do that on your own merit.
That’s why Christ himself has taken care of that through his death and resurrection.
You are clothed in righteousness and seen as a child of God through no works of your own.
Although it’s good to do works for your neighbor, no good work can earn salvation.
To be a Christian means that you are a recipient of that gift of salvation by grace through faith and not by works.
Christ has done it all FOR YOU.
