Have you ever felt like Job? One calamity after another, leaving you hopeless, while friends pile guilt on you instead of comfort? We’ve all experienced such brokenness.
In these moments, we encounter what theologians call God’s “alien work” — His hidden presence when we can’t see Him.
Though concealed, God continues working all things together for good for those who love Him.
Job remained faithful despite overwhelming despair.
His powerful confessions echo through time: “The Lord gives, the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord” and “Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”
Remember this truth, dear friends: no brokenness exists that Christ’s promises cannot heal. This is the meaning of the cross – Jesus dying for all our brokenness. This is Christ coming to you through His Word declaring, “Behold, I am making all things new.”
When everything crumbles, Jesus invites us: “Call upon me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
As we gather for our summer conferences, we’ll explore this theme: “Behold, I Am Making All Things New.” We’ll discover why it’s actually okay that things are broken in this world. Our present suffering doesn’t compare to the glory that awaits us.
Things are broken now, but Christ will return. And when He does, He promises to make all things new – including you and everything that causes you pain.
Join us this summer as we dive into this powerful reality of renewal and restoration through Christ our Savior.
