Finding the RIGHT Church

Ever wonder if it really matters which church you attend?

The truth is, it does — A LOT!

First, what makes a church truly Christian is that it proclaims Christ crucified for your sins. This is essential!

The gospel — not the law — is what conquers sin, death, and the devil.

When you’re struggling against the world and your own sinful nature, you need Jesus, not just rules or inspirational messages.

As you get older, you’ll have more responsibility to choose where you belong.

Just like you’d research before signing a phone contract, you should know what your church teaches.

➡️ Does it focus on “try harder and be better,” or does it proclaim “Jesus died for you”?

While salvation isn’t limited to any single denomination, it’s worth finding a church that preaches Scripture accurately.

The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) strives to do this faithfully.

When you head to college, seek a church where:

☑️ You can honestly say “Amen” to what’s taught
☑️ You hear the forgiveness of sins every week
☑️ You hear concrete hope in Jesus, not just life advice

Church isn’t just another obligation — it’s where you receive gifts.

When life gets tough, you need a place that grounds you in your faith.

Even if it takes effort to get there, find a place where you know that when you bring your sins, and you know you’ll be answered by Jesus.
