Many think God and the devil are equal but opposite forces—like yin and yang or the light and dark sides of the Force.
But that’s not how Christianity views them.
The devil is a created being; God is the Creator.
God created the devil as an angel of light who fell because of pride and jealousy. But God remains in charge.
Remember that Jesus rose from the dead. He defeated the devil, death, and sin. As Christians, you have hope in Christ who has crushed the devil under His foot.
When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, it wasn’t like an American movie where Jesus was an underdog.
The truth is that it wasn’t even possible for Him to fail.
When the devil tempted Jesus, it was like wind gently blowing against a tree. One word — “Be gone, Satan” — and he left.
The Bible describes Satan as a murderer, an adversary, and a roaring lion seeking those to devour.
But if God and the devil are fighting for your soul, it’s not two equals — it’s like an ant versus a horse.
The devil can make things look bad with murder, evil, and deceit. But Jesus has already conquered it. What you face is a lion with no teeth.
There are still spiritual attacks and demonic forces, but this isn’t a fight we face alone — we take shelter in Christ who has already won.
