📖 Lent 1 Old Testament Reading: Genesis 3:1-21
✅ You can always trust God to tell the truth.
🐍 Satan, however, can only lie — it’s his one trick.
❌ He can’t change God’s truth, so he tries to make you doubt it.
📜 In Genesis 3, you see this clearly. God speaks truth, but Satan responds with, “Did God really say?”
🤔 He wants you to question what’s true, good, and real.
🎭 Satan’s tactics haven’t changed. He starts with subtle doubts, then works up to outright lies.
🍎 This is what happened in Eden — Adam and Eve fell for his deception, bringing death into the world.
💔 Their sin of unfaith affected everyone. As Romans 5 explains, we all die.
✝️But God promised a Savior. Jesus Christ crushed Satan’s head through His crucifixion and resurrection, declaring “It is finished.”
💧 Through baptism, you’re buried and raised with Christ, clothed in His righteousness (Galatians 3).
🙏 When you fail, Jesus speaks forgiveness through absolution and through his body and his blood — driving away fear, guilt, and shame.
