🤔 You know how we always want to find blame?
🧑🦯 When Jesus and his disciples came across a man born blind, that’s exactly what they did.
❓ “Who sinned?” they asked. “His parents? Him?” But Jesus flipped the script — this wasn’t about sin at all. ✨ This was about showing God’s work to the world.
🙌 And how did Jesus choose to reveal this work? Not with a simple word or wave of his hand. No, he got his hands dirty — literally.
🌍 Just like when he first shaped Adam from the earth, Jesus made mud with the ground and his own saliva. 💫 There’s something beautifully intimate about that, isn’t it? 👑 The Creator of the universe, kneeling down to reshape what was broken.
👀 When the blind man washed in the pool of Siloam, his eyes opened for the first time.
This shows how God works in your life too where He uses physical means to deliver his grace: 👉
💧 Water in baptism
🗣️ Words of forgiveness through your pastor
🍷 Bread and wine in communion
✨ Just like that mud on the blind man’s eyes, these ordinary things become extraordinary means to brings his grace to us.
💭 Think about it — the God who created the heavens and earth doesn’t need to use anything physical to help you.
🗣️ He could just speak and it would be done. But he chooses to work through tangible means you can see, touch, and experience.
🎁 So also it was for this blind man so that we would all see the great and beautiful gift that our God, the one who created the heavens and the earth, has come to rescue.
🌟 He’s visited us. He’s here now. Thanks be to God. 🙌
