🙌 Psalm 103 tells us that we should “Bless God” with our “soul and all that is within me.”
This means we should Praise God with our entire being.
❓ Why does God deserve such adoration? Psalm 103 tells us!
✝️ God “forgives all your iniquity” and “heals all your diseases.” He “redeems your life from the pit,” (i.e. the grave). He “crowns you with steadfast love and mercy” and “satisfies you with good.” And more!
🤔 You know how sometimes people think God’s just sitting up in heaven full of wrath and waiting to get mad at us?
Plot twist: He’s actually described as “slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love” (v. 8) 💕 God is patient with us, even when we mess up! (We see God’s patience throughout scripture — from Israel’s kings to Jonah.)
🙏 While the devil tries to accuse of our sins…whatever they may be — when God forgives you, He places your sins “as far as the east is from the west.” (v. 12) Through Christ, God doesn’t see our sins.
🌎 That’s infinite distance! Imagine trying to find where east meets west on a map . . . you can’t, because they never meet!
💝 If you’re struggling with guilt or shame (we all do sometimes), remember this: God’s love for you is “as high as the heavens are above the earth.” (v. 11)
⭐ Next time you look up at the sky, remember that’s how much He cares about you.
✝️Through Jesus, we get eternal life where there’s no more tears, no more sickness, just pure joy.
📝 TL;DR: God’s not keeping receipts of your mistakes. Through Jesus, you’re forgiven and crowned with love and mercy. 👑❤️
