How can I defend my Christian faith with stories?
The word “defense” in 1 Peter 3:15 is where we get “apologetics” – answering objections to the Christian faith.
Apologetics involves proving the historic authenticity of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, and verifying the Gospels’ eyewitness accounts.
🕊️ Proofs and Eyewitnesses 🕊️
Just like Peter and Paul in Acts, we use Biblical scriptures, eyewitness accounts, and historical evidence to show Jesus died and rose again.
📜 Using Stories
Sometimes the apostles used another strategy: storytelling. Paul does this in Acts 17 in Athens, speaking to the men of Athens about their own beliefs.
And what Paul did in Athens, we can do in our own vocations as Christians, too. We can defend and declare the Gospel using our imaginations and the stories God gives us to point to the Gospel.
💬 Telling the Story 💬
Jesus was born, died, and rose for you. Use your imagination and stories to share God’s grace and mercy. Your friends and family need to hear it.
