Paul says in Romans chapter seven, if it had not been for the law, I would not have known my sin.

Have you ever been lost? Maybe as a little kid, you were separated from your parents?

It’s scary!
You freaked out!
You completely panicked!

The 10 Commandments – aka The Law – show each of us how lost we are.

The Law shows us how far we’ve strayed from God’s righteousness.

And there is no way that we can find our way back on our own.

So what does God do for us in those times?

Paul says in Galatians 4, “When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.”

You see, even before we recognize that we are lost, God had a plan to save us.

And he sends his Son, Christ, to do just that.

Your heavenly Father loves you far greater than you could possibly know or imagine.

You have been baptized into Christ and have been made an heir of salvation.

He will always search for you.

Amen.
