The parable of the Pharisee and the Publican (Tax Collector)! We like to push ourselves up while pushing others down like the Pharisee. We like to think that we’re the Tax Collector but even when we’re the Tax Collector we still don’t measure up. But don’t fret, the Gospel reminds you that no matter how bad you define yourself as something you’re not or how much you fall short Christ died on the cross for you so that you might be free from the chains of sin that bind you. Confess your Phariseeness and your Tax Collectorness and receive the forgiveness won for you on the cross and be saved.
