On June 1, the church remembers Saint Justin Martyr who lived in the 2nd century AD. He was a pagan convert to the Christian faith who wrote extensively explaining the beliefs and practices of the early church to a pagan world but most importantly pointed his readers to Christ, all the way to his death.
