2026 Dying Church, Rising Hope Plenary Transition by Rev. Chris Hull

In 2025, we explored Jesus’ promise to make “All Things New.”

Jesus makes us new in baptism, in the Lord’s Supper, in the forgiveness of sins, and when the gospel is preached to us.

We are His new creation that will not die eternally. We will live with our Savior forever because in our baptism we are united with both his death and his resurrection.

While this is all true, when we look around we see a world that is corrupt and dying, and we see this corruption has made its way into many churches.

The church today faces real corruption, real struggles, real death. Buildings crumble, traditions fade, and church attendance is at an all-time low.

Yet, Jesus said, “I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Know that the things that are dying and fading away are not cause for despair because those are things that need to fade away.

But he who is eternal never fades, and he will give you joy that has no end.

Join us in 2026, when we will dig into the reality of “Dying Church, Rising Hope.”

📅 Mark your calendars: 2026 conference registration information drops on October 1st.
